Pakit Storage
Pakit is BelizeChain's sovereign decentralized storage layer — a content-addressed MerkleDAG engine with P2P distribution, ML-driven optimization, and on-chain proof verification. It replaces the earlier reliance on legacy IPFS/Arweave infrastructure.

Key Capabilities
- Content-addressable storage — every block is identified by its hash; content never changes in place
- Multi-algorithm compression — ZSTD, LZ4, Brotli, and LZMA, with ML-selected algorithms (>3x average compression)
- Deduplication — SimHash + locality-sensitive hashing to find near-duplicate content
- P2P distribution — Kademlia DHT for discovery and gossip for propagation
- On-chain proofs — Merkle proofs of storage are verified by the on-chain

Running Pakit
git clone https://github.com/BelizeChain/pakit-storage.git
cd pakit-storage
pip install -r pakit_requirements.txt
python api_server.py # REST API on :8001
On the Ceiba testnet, Pakit runs behind the shared reverse proxy at /api/pakit/. See Testnet.
